Scifi och fantasy på TV och bio 2012

Oj så många fantasyserier det är på g just nu! En skulle bara vilja veta på förhand om de är bra eller ej, och om de kommer att läggas ned efter första säsongen (är ju inte alla fantasy/scifiserier som klarar sig om vi säger så...).

Once upon a time: ett gäng sagofigurer (Snövit mfl) har fått en förbannelse över sig och bor nu i en liten småstad i USA.

Grimm; kriminalserie med övernaturliga inslag.

American Horror History: en familj flyttar till ett hemsökt hus i LA.

Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome: utspelar sig i BSG-universumet, fast bakåt i tiden under första cylonkrigen. Action utlovas!

Daniel Radcliffe spelar huvudrollen i filmvarianten av Susan Hills skräckroman The Woman in Black. Danrad spelar den unge advokaten Arthur Kipps som hamnar i ett hus ute på den ensliga myren där en kvinna i svart spökar, med fasansfulla följder. Profilteatern i Umeå har satt upp den under flera år och skrämt mig och andra umebor halvt från vettet, herregud jag såg den i januari och kan fortfarande ha svårt att sova om jag kommer att tänka på den. Då tycker jag ser hennes svartklädda gestalt överallt... Åh gud, jag kan knappt skriva om den, så rädd blir jag!

Så jag nöjer mig med att lägga upp trailern, och så får jag kolla på gulliga kattklipp en stund så jag kommer ur stämning.

Inget om Danrad, men han känns inte lika övertygande som Profilteaterns skådisar..

Animerad Napoleon Dynamite, whyyyyyy

Eeeeh..... Så Fox ska göra en animerad serie av kultfilmen Napoleon Dynamite. Varför då? Det låter som en jättedålig idé! Fox stoltserar med "the entire original cast" men det säger väl mest att de inte fått så mycket jobb på sistone. Ful animering dessutom, det ser ju ut som Beavis and Butthead eller annan valfri MTV-animering från 90-talet. Pfft.

Jag skippar. Istället kollar vi in en av de bästa dansscenerna ever, från filmen:

En ordentlig genomgång av kommande scifi-filmer 2011

Här kommer en av mig ordentlig genomgång av vad som komma skall under 2011 - och vad som det ryktas kring allra mest just nu! (Det mesta taget från IMDB).

Apollo 18 (4 mars)
A film about the real mission to space in the 1970's that was canceled by NASA.

I Am Number Four (25 mars)
John is an extraordinary teen, masking his true identity and passing as a typical high school student to elude a deadly enemy seeking to destroy him. Three like him have already been killed ... he is Number Four.

Source Code (15 april)
An action thriller centered on a soldier who wakes up in the body of an unknown man and discovers he's part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago commuter train.

Battle: Los Angeles (20 april)
A Marine platoon faces off against an alien invasion in Los Angeles.

Sucker Punch (22 april)
A young girl is institutionalized by her wicked stepfather. Retreating to an alternative reality as a coping strategy, she envisions a plan which will help her escape from the facility.

Melancholia (26 maj)
Lars Von Trier has been rather tight-lipped about his new film Melancholia. He famously pronounced no more happy endings...

X-Men: First Class (3 juni)
Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-MEN.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon (1 juli)
The Autobots learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the Moon, and race against the Decepticons to reach it and learn its secrets, which could turn the tide in the Transformers' final battle.

Green Lantern (8 juli)
A test pilot is granted a mystical green ring that bestows him with otherworldly powers, as well as membership into an intergalactic squadron tasked with keeping peace within the universe.

Paul (8 juli)
Two British comic-book geeks traveling across the U.S. encounter an alien outside Area 51.

Super 8 (29 juli)
Superhemligt scifi-filmprojekt av J J Abrams.

Rise of the Apes (5 aug)
An origin story set in present day San Francisco, where man's own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.

The Darkest Hour (5 aug)
In Russia, a group of kids struggle to survive after an alien invasion.

Captain America: The First Avenger (12 aug)
After being deemed unfit for military service, Steve Rogers volunteers for a top secret research project that turns him into Captain America, a superhero dedicated to defending America's ideals.

Cowboys & Aliens (2 sept)
A spaceship arrives in Arizona, 1873, to take over the Earth, starting with the Wild West region. A posse of cowboys are all that stand in their way.

Now (30 sept)
In the not-too-distant future the aging gene has been switched off. To avoid overpopulation, time has become the currency and the way people pay for luxuries and necessities. The rich can live forever, while the rest try to negotiate for their immortality. A poor young man who comes into a fortune of time, though too late to help his mother from dying. He ends up on the run from a corrupt police force known as 'time keepers'

Gathering of Heroes: Legend of the Seven Swords (sept)
In the mystical realm of Ryntia, the forces of the underworld are aligning to unleash a plague of evil upon the surface. The deadly bat-like Blood Reavers, the Saurian Maurauders, the Orcish Warmongers and the feline Shadow-cat mercenaries have pledged their respective clans to the service of Bre'Gwen, queen of the deep elves. Together they seek to destroy the human and Elven kingdoms and rule all of Ryntia in the name of evil.

Real Steel (7 okt)
A boxing drama set in the near-future where 2,000-pound robots that look like humans do battle.

Contagion (21 okt)
An action-thriller centered on the threat posed by a deadly disease and an international team of doctors contracted by the CDC to deal with the outbreak.

The Thing (4 nov)
At an Antarctica research site, the discovery of an alien craft leads to a confrontation between graduate student Kate Lloyd and scientist Dr. Sander Halvorson. While Dr. Halvorson keeps to his research, Kate partners with Sam Carter, a helicopter pilot, to pursue the alien life form.

Rykten:

Det ryktas att He-Man-filmen Grayskull kommer under 2011, likaså första säsongen av Star Wars-teveserien som det förstås är en massa hyschpysch kring. En ny Battlestar Galactica-serie (Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome) planeras också under 2011 - hurra! Serien kretsar kring en ung Bill Adama under det första Cylon-kriget. Att animen Ghost in the shell ska filmatiseras (ej animeras) har det ryktats ett tag kring, och i nuläget menar IMDB att 2011 är året det skall ske, men det som lever får se. Två andra animes som det ryktas kring i år är Cowboy Bebop och Bubblegum Crisis. Ridley Scott planerar filmatisering av romanen Brand New World med Leo di Caprio i huvudrollen. William Gibsons epokbildande cyberpunkroman Neuromancer har det tisslats om i åratal, senaste uppdateringen på IMDB är att det är i år filmen blir av (och svenskan Noomi Rapace är en av de eventuellt påtalade för rollen som Molly). Även den senare boken Pattern Recognition verkar vara på gång nu. På tal om böcker som blir film är även Philip K. Dicks roman The Man in the High Castle på gång. En gammal teveserie som ska revampas på nytt av Paul W.S. Anderson är kära gamla Buck Rogers. Inom filmvärlden är ju remakes rätt stort just nu, även Cronenbergs 80-tals-scifirulle Videodrome får en ny kostym.

Star Wars-nytt!

För alla SW-geeks därute kan jag glatt berätta senaste ryktena, nämligen att den allsmäktige George Lucas funderar på att göra nya uppföljare till den gamla Star Wars-sagan (ep. IV, V och VI). Jag hoppas å det yttersta att George Lucas vänder sig till Timothy Zahns briljanta Thrawn-trilogi som utspelar sig fem år efter Return of the Jedi. Den trilogin är så grymt välskriven att jag genast såg filmerna utspela sig på hornhinnan när jag läste den för två år sedan. Men så verkar tyvärr inte fallet enligt ryktena:

The sequels, not prequels, would not focus on the Skywalkers, but instead be set in the future. Same universe, but totally different story. By doing this, Lucas doesn’t have to fit pieces into a puzzle like he had to do with the prequels. And he has stated that that process was creatively constricting to him. (Källa: Slash Film)

Tidigare har det ju blivit klart att den gode Lucas låter göra om samtliga sex Star Wars-filmer i 3D-format, där första filmen, The Phantom Menace, förmodligen kommer visas redan i februari 2012. Detta är en hyfsat nyannonserad nyhet, till skillnad från den tv-serie som Lucas och som ska utspela sig mellan tredje och fjärde filmen. Dock verkar arbetet gå något trögt enligt Slash Films uppdatering på ämnet i augusti:

The live action TV show is kind of on hold because we have scripts, but we don’t know how to do them. They literally are Star Wars, only we’re going to have to try to do them at a tenth the cost. And it’s a huge challenge, a lot bigger than what we thought it was gonna be.

Rapport till himlen

Jag har nu kommit halvvägs i Rapport till himlen och kan med glädje säga att jag minns rätt: den är riktigt bra! Ulf marmros har förlagt handlingen i en svensk stad i glowing 50-talsljus och rekvisita i form av raketost och bingohallar men med moderna karakärer som den modern ensamstående mamma med Snoop dog-flätor (kommer inte på vad de egentligen kallas) och den rökande, vinande och sportande prästen. Magisk stämning, pokaktigt söta Johan Widerberg och för att inte glömma: Pappa Skarsgård! Ni har säkert hört mig och Anna tråna efter A-Skars, med äldst är bäst! Stellan Skarsgård är kanske inte den vackraste av män, men det gottgör han med ångande, sexdrypande utstrålning. Ni hör, jag är helt golvad. jag längtar till ikväll när jag kan sätta mig framför tv och se klart serien! Sen ska jag skynda mig att lämna igen den så att nån annan får se den. =)

Tips

Jag har ett tips på förströelse så i höstrusket: låna film på bibblan!

Anledningar:
1. Gratis, iaf så länge du lämnar tillbaka i tid, vilket jag aldrig gör.
2. Det finns sjukt bra filmer som du alltid tänkt att du borde se och filmer som du inte visste att du ville se.

Idag hittade jag den (i mitt minne) väldigt fina tv-serien Rapport till himlen. (Nån annan gång ska jag skriva om alla bra svenska ungdomsserier som gjorts.)

Missa inte!

My little precioussssss pretty moving picture...

Det finns vissa filmer som jag vill se så gärna att jag klänger mig fast vid dem. Jag vill inte glömma bort dem så jag fokuserar på dem så mycket att det närmast blir tjatigt. Senast sedda sådan film var "The Imaginarium of Doktor Parnassus". Det tog några månader, men sedd blev den och det var värt det (även om jag tyckte att slutet var otillfredsställande). Nu har jag hittat nästa besatthet: Neverwhere. Det är en miniserie, producerad av BBC, och manusförfattare är ingen mindre än Neil Gaiman. Jag gillade boken och blev mycket nöjd av att få reda på att det fanns en filmatisering. I detta fallet är det dessutom så att miniserien kom innan texten. Nu börjar jakten på filmen för denna gång. Jag känner det i mina ben - moahahaaa.

(Det fanns ingen vettig trailer, så det fick bli vad jag hittade...)
